Matt Jones Gasworks Gallery

Matt Jones   Gasworks Gallery

Jones Studios and Gasworks Gallery are located in the Big Blue Jones Building, in Wallingford.   Gasworks Gallery was designed and built by Matt in 2004 and is one of the largest private galleries in Seattle. The Jones building is located across the street from Dale Chihuly's famous Boathouse, on Lake Union.

The building is bright and warm with lots of smiles and creative energy flowing. The 30 foot ceiling, beautiful vintage beams and over 200 windows gives the 10,000 sq. ft. Jones building lots of charm and natural light. There are over 2 dozen talented artists working in the newly designed building and there’s always something exciting about to ignite.

Gasworks Gallery has a quarterly open studio event in conjunction with the Fremont First Friday Art Walk. Jones also opens up his private studio every second Friday for a popular wacky charity event called Paint Dancing. Paint Dancing was introduced on New Year’s Eve of 2006 and was an over-night success with Paint Dancing groups now popping up all across the US.

All of the events in the gallery support MashedPotatoes.org, a grass roots hunger awareness project created by Matt. The project is designed to deliver large quantities of potatoes and easy-to-store food items to Northwest Harvest (Washington’s largest hunger relief organization) and various other food banks throughout the US. Visit the MashedPotatoes.org press page to read all the wonderful articles written about this ultra fun and creative organization.
